IRS Delays Refunds & Payments
- 01The IRS may take several weeks to begin processing installment agreement payments after your request is submitted or approved. This delay is normal and is outside of our control. To help reduce additional penalties and interest while the IRS is processing your agreement, we strongly recommend making voluntary payments directly through the IRS website.
